Let's make this clear. This book is an excellent read for someone following the Sufi path. But it contains so much depth that an ordinary person will find it difficult to comprehend. The author is a renowned Sufi saint that shares his experience through parables. Each time you read the same chapter, you get a new meaning. This is not a book to be read only once or to be read at one go. You have to meditate of the meaning of each chapter to be able to understand.

As ampangbear said, this is not a book for beginners. It is, in fact, quite intense. When I read it, I had to stop and rest after a few pages!It is clear that Sheikh ibn Arabi saw and understood what we do not. His explanations challange the very limits of our beings. Yet, in the end, we are left with the removal of another Veil that seperated us from Allah.

Mind blowing...

The book is for travellers on the sufi path who seek guidance regarding seclusions. It covers much of the stuff involved including but not limited to preparation, duration of seclusion, guide-lines on visions and spiritual experience during the seclusion. The notes were clearly explained, and this is by far, my favourite Ibn Arabi book.

It's a very excellent book!

I love this book. It's very insightful and a quick read. However, just because it is a quick read doesn't mean that it is easy to understand.

Great book! I bought one long time ago, but I lend it to someone and I didn't get t back, so I need it to give myself a new copy.

I just finished this wonderful trilogy about a family living in the time of Christ and their interaction with Jesus of Nazareth. It's a educational, historical, well-documented gripping masterpiece. The story is well-woven, with end notes after each chapter giving historical insight, references and letting the reader know what is historical and what is a literary device. It's true to the New Testament account of Christ's teachings, while adding in a fictional family with their friends who have a variety of reactions to this new preacher Who is he? Is He the Messiah? Belief has consequences. It answered many questions I had, like how could the crowds adore him one day and then call for his crucifixion the next day. How and why did some of the leaders of the Jews bring this execution to pass - against their own laws?? I love historical novels that bring history to life and teach the reader. This author exceeds expectations. I feel closer to our Savior Jesus Christ after reading this again.

This is one of the best series about Jesus Christ I have ever read. It is very thorough and explains a lot about his parables and his miracles. Gerald lund has combined fictional characters was real people and has created a great story and is very factual in the parts where Jesus is concerned. I have read this series several times and will probably read it many more because I learn so many new things each time. Gerald Lund has done massive research and it shows.

I love this series - in fact I have the CD's - they are on my Kindle and I purchased the books. I have learned so much from this series and have told most all of my friends they should read this series. I have lent out the CD's to a busy young mother that doesn't have time to sit down and read.I wish Gerald N Lund would write a book on what happened to Mary Magdalen after Jesus returned to his Father. I believe she was his wife and wonder if she was with child.

Gerald Lund's writing is always a pleasure. It has been awhile since I read this book, I purchased this copy as a gift. The receiver is "devouring" it so I would say it was well received :-)

I like this series m. Easy to read and follow. Good storyline .

This is an excellent novel based on the Four Gospels. Ironically, portraying fictional characters in the time of Christ makes the Bible stories more real. This is the second volume in the Kingdom & Crown series, and one should read Fishers of Men first to get to know the characters and the fictionalized subplots.

About the Author

Charles A. Gardner is a municipal court judge and retired correction training lieutenant in Malone, New York, the far-upstate town where he was born and raised. His twenty-five-year career in New York State Department of Corrections included working as a correction officer, sergeant, and lieutenant. He had experience working in medium- and maximum-security facilities including stints at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora and the maximum-security prisons of Sing Sing, Bedford Hills, Great Meadow, and Upstate. Gardner served on the Department of Corrections' emergency response team (CERT), which played a critical role in the search for the 2015 prison escapees. As someone who lives in the area of the escape & whose husband is a retired NYSDOCCS SGT, it was refreshing to read a book written with the sole purpose of exposing the truth & solidly backing the CO’s & all LEO’s involved in the story of a very tense 3 weeks. This story tells the escape plan & describes all of the main players in great detail. Readers will understand the financial & staff cutbacks that helped lead up to this unfortunate incident. The reader will also learn how Cuomo & Albany in General contributed to, but were never thrown under the bus for, Policies & Procedures they implemented. There are twists & turns in this story that MSM never reported. The author, Charles Gardner & his wife Penny, did their homework & research! This book will appeal to all LEO’s out there, as well as anyone who was caught up & mesmerized Nationwide as this manhunt unfolded. Charlie captured the appreciation the locals felt for the CERT Teams, NYSP, Border Patrol etc as they endured brutal conditions in the rugged Adirondack Mountains searching for 2 murderers. Even though we know the ending, it still is an exciting read. I highly recommend this book!

Major Guest’s book was excellent and told the escape story well from the Police perspective and beyond.This author goes into the Correctional perspectives and beyond, better explaining the results gained when correctional funds are cut and a do more with less mantra is embraced.Way too many DOCs are seeing budgets cut, with an out of sight, out of mind belief. Hopefully no other escapes or death result, but North Carolina, South Carolina, and Delaware prison systems have not been so fortunate.Thanks for the hue and cry!

We were both struck by the authenticity of Charlie Gardner’s Dannemora. We’ve both read a few books and seen Ben Stiller’s series on Dannemora and feel Mr. Gardner’s book is the most accessible of the lot. While understanding the need for a TV series to be commercially viable, Ben Stiller accentuates some of the more lurid details of the tale and some of the other books get bogged down in minutiae. Charlie Gardner tells the tale from both a local’s point of view and an insider’s unique perspective lending both veracity and compassion. You never are drawn into a false sense of relating to either of the escapees nor the culpable parties. The book also avoids long character exposes on any of the principle players but manages to maintain objectivity and a balanced view of the folks caught up in the mess. Perhaps the most striking sense is how so many people could have prevented the whole disaster by just follow the rules or speaking up. None of this feels like pure speculative hindsight. Again, Mr. Gardner places the blame by stating objective information as well as rightly placing compassion upon the communities that had to deal with the fallout as well as lauding the efforts of the agencies charged with the monumental tasks of dealing with the situation at hand and the aftermath. I was taken with the information that Charlie Gardner provided in his book. Knowing what I know about the prison and the physical plant layout this book was written with a no holds barred attitude. The revelation of all the facts regarding the escape and the history which culminated in the escape kept this reader from setting the book down. Having lived through some of the tension that the area had to endure and the effects on so many people really made me appreciate Mr. Gardners willingness to "bare it all"! Mr Gardner captured the fear and the truth of the daily events leading up to the death of Matt and the shooting and capture of sweat. pretty informative book that was helpful before auditions to a local performing arts center!

For only 64 pages, this book is packed with basics of lighting, props and costumes, as well as, learning your lines! It offered my 7 year old "wanna be actress" an awesome history of acting, types of theatre, and definite do's and don'ts. An awful lot of "homework" and work went into this book! Diagrams, colored photographs and lots and lots of information!

I started off on Montana sky series book 1. Although there is a "prequel" to book one. I would start off with that one then read them in order. Do research to see which comes next, all the series intertwine with each other. The author also lets other authors write series based off her characters and Sweet-Water Springs and surrounding areas. I immediately fell IN-LOVE with Sweet-Water Springs Montana and all the books. I listen to them on a daily basis when i'm driving around Houston or to La, when i'm working on a project or crocheting. I might sound like an old lady but I swear i'm 28. I would rate these books as PG-13 because there isn't a lot of violence, mild bad language and no "sex" scenes. Its pretty clean but so addicting. ALL of the books are amazing. Remember start from the beginning.

Well written, just enough heat to capture the images of young women finding love in a new country. Similar to stories about “mail order brides”, but with more insight into the sisters and their previous life in Ireland. Was glad that it was a boxed set so I didn’t have to wait for each book to be released. Recommend to anyone looking for a ‘clean’ story of finding love.

I loved The Irish Sisters Trilogy set. Each book was wonderful, full of rich characters, and interesting happenings. I really hate that I have read them all, and their are no more.

I enjoyed reading all of these stories. Can't wait for more. I hope Debra Holland continues this storyline , the end.

I enjoyed the trilogy because it enabled me to read all three without waiting months for release.

Loved this series. I had read it before, so I bought it for keeps when it came out as a trilogy on Kindle.

My wife just finished it . I will order more of these.
