A big fat book that is very comprehensive and up-to-date. Expensive like all school textbooks are. Required reading for our nursing school. A bit difficult to carry around in a book bag with all my other nursing books. Perhaps someday all higher education classes will be using digital versions of these books, which will be good for the environment and on students' backs!

I bought this book because it was recommended for learning dosages during nursing school. I got a lot of use out of it and it definitely helped me to learn medication dosages. The practice problems are the best workout for the brain and there are plenty of them in this book. Helped me pass the dosage test with a 100%!

I got this book after I heard an interview with the author on a public radio program. I liked what he had to say. It really does make sense to network through building relationships and keeping lots of connections. You just never know what it could lead to. I appreciate how it was emphasized that you never want to approach anyone from a place of neediness but with a sense of contributing value. The way he explained how to approach new connections gave me some good ideas that I found helpful.

I am a Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC) and we started reading and discussing this book in our Job Club. Darrell Gurney uses humor and an straightforward style of writing to provide a clear message in an easy to read book that will help ANYONE move forward in their career.Whether you are looking to find a job, change careers or move up in your current career, Darrell's book will give you concrete steps to move forward. In this book, Darrell Gurney lays out the principle of conducting a research on a subject matter of your interest in order to meet decision makers in the industry you want to work in ... and ultimately land a job.Some might have doubts about this process, but I have seen it in action with a friend of mine just a year ago. My friend really wanted to work for a winery and decided to put together a comprehensive study on the wine industry where he lives. Of course the internet provided him some valuable information, but to capture the real trends going on in this field, he interviewed all the local stakeholders (wine makers, trade association, wine brokers, bottlers, you name it). Of course, once done with the study, he sent the 20 page documents to all the people he had met. The results: he landed a job as General Manager for a winery. And he didn't even had met that winery for his study.The book not only sets out this research methods, but also goes further by giving immediately hands-on and applicable tips on connecting with people in the most surprising way. I read the first one. I read it. I thought it was cheesy, but I read it. I picked up the second one and it's been a day. I cannot return it for a refund, as much as I would like to. The reason I want to return it deals with the fact that this book is utter and complete crap. It's garbage, wrapped in rabbit feces, lit on fire. It smells bad, tastes bad, looks bad.There was an error (Mater vs Matter) in the second sentence. Two sentences. The character are repeating nonsense most of the conversation, either in the actual dialogue, or in the following paragraphs of horse-crap. Sometimes I read things I don't agree with. This isn't one of those things. This is reading something a high school junior threw together and didn't bother proofing first.It starts downhill and rolls down fast and hard, becoming a steaming pile of garbage that explodes at the bottom. It's poorly written, poorly developed, poorly edited, and poorly thought.If literature is art in word form, this is the 2nd grader drawing a stick figure taking a dump in "Art" class.Get an editor. This should never have been published.

Stopping the horde is all our new Guild of about. However, though leveling (ascending) is the key to more power, there seems to be more at play and the true path is starting to become clear. The world was not just a second chance but a training ground for a larger war. This series looks to be quite expansive and fun. I like the litrpg elements that allow for skill to be learned by use and out of class. I find make for a more flexible character and more realistic(in fantasy). Can't want for more of this..

Good story and characters worth reading about, I'm enjoying their sagas. I can see some really interesting plots and actions coming up with choices that will keep you invested in the authors continuing story.

It’s a fun story. There are a number of editing problems dealing with redundant words, homonyms, and missed deletions. The main is still a bit of a know it all. All in all a fun read.

Awesome book

I love the story. When I finished the first book I was sorely disappointed that there wasn't another to keep binging on. Now that I'm reading the second book, I must say, "Bravo!" ...still loving the story. That being said, there are a couple things I wanted to point out.First, you may want invest (or ask for volunteers) for someone to proofread and/or edit. In Chapter 8 Clara announces, "I'm level 13 now!". However in Chapter 19 Morgan, when giving everyone's level, has hers as 12.Also, I understand that you need to recap/review events from the previous book, on the off chance that someone is starting the series with the second book. However, when you recap/review things that have just happened, several chapter prior, it just seems like you're trying to add filler to the book to make it longer. As a reader I find it becomes tedious to read the same thing over and over.That being said, thank you so much for the story!

I don’t remember the main character being so pathetic in the first book as he is in this story. His high school, and sometimes grade school antics got tiring really quick... After reading about a quarter of the tale, I was done!

I liked the first one. I mean, it wasn't perfect, but it was fun and easy and I finished it. Even gave it a 3.5 star review.I didn't like this one. I mean I really didn't like it. I read the first 20% and nothing happened. Then the MC has some sort of ridiculous mental breakdown and goes into a multipage monologue about how he's a fake and a liar and not worth anything. It's horrible. I even tried to skim over it but it goes on and on. And on. Pages and pages of feelings appear out of nowhere.So I quit. 23% and I'm done. Don't care what happens, don't care about the tower, don't care about the guild. Not worth it. What a let down.
