Useful and well written FAQ on B&W photography.First what this book is not:It is not a tutorial/introduction or learn how to book. It does not attempt to take a beginner through step-by-step lessons on how to lean B&W photography.Though it is written with the beginner in mind (covers most basics), it is a FAQ and thus not suited as your first/only book on the topic.Now what this book is:Covers a large selection of B&W photography topics. Couple pages per topic. Addresses topics other books assume you know, or, simply spread across many pages and readers never clearly grasp. Includes useful tip(s) that help clarify each topic. Covers both digital and film in a nice manner (information for both mediums is in the same section, when appropriate, as it should be). Finally, I found the answers well written (not dry).In sort, I am enjoying this book. Not a cover to cover read, more like 'open to a random topic and read a bit'. Small size book (though some readers may find the print too small), good glossy-heavy paper, and low cost! Note: I am not a beginner, though not a 'master' either.
Very good book. I've been shooting B&W for thirty plus years, and still picked up some good pointers here.
