About the Author
KATHLEEN LONG BOSTROM has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) since 1983. Kathleen has written over 40 books, which have sold well over two million copies in the 16 years since her first book was published. Her Little Blessings books are printed in 18 languages, including Chinese, Russian, and Indonesian, and the Italian translations of her books can be found in the Vatican bookstore in Rome, Italy. Since 1998, Kathy has served on the board of the Presbyterian Writers Guild and held office as its president for two terms. She is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Authors Guild.Dinara Mirtalipova is a self- taught illustrator/designer. Born and raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, she eventually landed in snowy Ohio. Raised in Soviet Uzbek culture, she inhabited Uzbek/Russian folklore that still influences her work. For a long time Dinara has been among illustrators and designers at American Greetings. She left her creative role at American Greetings in February 2014 to pursue her ever growing freelance career and to start a new chapter as a free spirit independent designer. Currently Dinara works from her home studio in Sagamore Hills, OH.

Regardless of your religious preference, I feel it is important for young children to at least know the stories in the bible - you do not have to agree or believe them, but knowledge of them is critical - such as what is Easter - what is Christmas, etc. Our grandchildren range in age from 3 to 18 and none of them regularly attend church, but we have given each of them this book and hopefully our children will read them to their children and will probably learn a bit themselves. The stories are well written and easy to follow. This is the least grandparents can do in an effort to better educate children who can then decided later in life what they believe,etc
My 4 year old can't get enough of the bible stories in this book! We have used other bibles but none got the reaction this one gets. My little one can tell me most of these stories based on the pictures at this point and she still wants me to read them over and over. We have several books from this author and all are great but this is certainly among our houses' favorites! We only read this on nights when we have some time because we always end up reading more than we intended :)
This is a delightful book perfect for bedtime reading with your children! The stories are engaging and the illustrations are beautiful. There are nine stories from the Old Testament and nine stories from the New Testament. Each one one provides vivid details with language children can easily understand. We love Kathy's books!
A beautifully written book filled with lovely illustrations. This book brings Bible stories to life with descriptive and lyrical writing. Clearly the author cares deeply about the stories of the Bible and this book will go a long way to making children care for those stories as well. A wonderful read and a must buy for any personal library
My kids love it. 6 and 8 year olds. I really enjoy reading it to them, but my 8 year old usually takes over.
